Eligibility Criteria
We welcome candidates with diverse educational backgrounds and experiences to apply to our IMBA program. Overseas candidates must have:
  • 1. Two or more years of relevant work experience, preferred
  • 2. Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3. A competitive GMAT/GRE score (GMAT Code: KHB-NM-91, GRE DL:3735 Renmin U China Schl Business), currently a minimum score of GMAT 550/GRE 285 is recommended

  • 4. Non-English native speakers must submit one of the following
    1. A) Certificate of bachelor’s degree taught in English
    2. B) IELTS score above 6.0
    3. C) TOEFL score above 90
Key Dates
Thank you for your interest in applying to the Renmin International Master of Business Administration Program. Applications will be considered during the two rounds throughout the year. Submitted applications and supporting material will be reviewed immediately after the deadline of each round. Successful candidates will be notified and moved to the interview stage of the admissions process. The IMBA Admissions Office will arrange for an in-person or a virtual interview. Admission decisions will be made following these interviews and according to the timeline per round. Applicants on average will be notified about the results of their application and interview within two weeks after the interview.

Application Materials

1. Register here and upload the completed International MBA Application Form as required;
2. Official GMAT/GRE score (check GMAT/GRE waive circumstances on IMBA website-FAQs section)
3. English proficiency proof (for non-English native speakers)
4. A copy of bachelor’s or higher degree certificates (original or notarized)
5. Official transcripts (original or notarized, GPA shall be above 3.0/4.0)
6. Two recommendation letters (preferably one from an academic referee and the other from a work-related referee)
7. Resume (preferably summarized to one-page)
8. A copy of the passport’s main page (a valid ordinary passport)
9. One recent (electronic) 2-inch photo (with white background)
10. A guarantee of financial status such as a certificate of employment, bank deposit certificate, or other documents that could provide evidence that the applicant has sufficient means for the duration of the study, if applicable
11. Certificate of No Criminal Record (original or notarized copy)
12. A completed Foreigner Physical Health Examination Report (original, the Template could be downloaded from the ISO website)
13. Published papers or other supporting materials, if applicable
14. Completed scholarship application, if applicable
15. A non-refundable application fee of 800 RMB
